Ambassador SAIDA Shinichi participated in the Handover Ceremony of Rescue Speed Boats

On August 18, Ambassador SAIDA Shinichi participated in the Handover Ceremony of Rescue Speed Boats alongside the Honourable Mr. Asadul Habib Dulu, Minister of Disaster Management and Relief. This ceremony was held as part of the Disaster Risk Management Enhancement Project, funded by JICA's ODA loan.

Japan sincerely hopes that the 12 lifeboats entrusted to each local government will be maintained and kept ready, and deployed swiftly wherever human lives are at risk. Under the Japan-Bangladesh Strategic Partnership, Japan will continue and deepen its cooperation with Bangladesh before, during, and after disasters, as well as for peace and security in the Bay of Bengal and the wider Indo-Pacific region.
